Couples Retreats/Classes 2018-01-18T10:08:05-08:00

Terri and Steve Clarke were married in 1991, after two years of courtship. Terri (a marriage family counselor) and Steve (a family physician) were in their early 30’s. Humbled by what prior love relationships had taught them, they realized staying in love could be challenging. They decided to use their marriage as a learning laboratory, using the resources available from psychology and western judeo-christian spirituality. Living that commitment to a conscious marriage challenged them to heal the emotionally stuck areas of their lives. This process nourishes their friendship and passion for one another. Wanting this for others, they have chosen to share the tools and inspirations that have blessed them.

Having been on the journey of falling in love, being in love, and staying in love for three decades, Steve and Terri teach classes and retreats to help others develop the skills they have practiced in their own marriage. They teach about the differences between males and females, conflict, increasing sexual satisfaction and romance, forgiveness, eliminating negativity, creating emotional safety, affair proofing relationships, and incorporating spiritual practice for nourishing the long-term union of partners. They help couples learn to appreciate their partner’s challenging differences. They have three grown sons and live in San Luis Obispo, California.
