Mind Body Spirit Focus
I believe in a whole-person approach to wellbeing. I hold the marvelous mysteries and complex dimensions of what it is to be human with an awesome regard … yet I acknowledge that a grounded practice of self awareness, self care, and healthy self love allows us to deliver our presence in the moment. Whether you desire to be good company to yourself, be a better parent, friend or mate – our work/time together will deepen and expand your capacities for clear thinking, intentional action, and emotional balance. Maintaining curiosity and friendly self observance to all the parts of your personality (positive or negative) supports living with a solid sense of self – with flexibility and strength to tolerate discomfort for the purpose of growth.
The body’s capacity for breathing, sensing, moving, laughing, and calming pleasure provide protections for mental health. I recommend clients get a good physical assessment, access integrative medical approaches, do sleep hygiene, explore healthy eating, and practice physical exercise. Current research demonstrates care of the body can heal the adverse effects of living on planet Earth.
The word Spirit refers to the part of one’s self that connects to transcendent energy – God presence – or essence of being. Clients who are comfortable with this orientation or hold it true for their experience are encouraged to access their divine connection to what they hold sacred, holy, or lifegiving throughout the therapeutic process.
