Hello – it’s likely that you are visiting because some aspect of your life has become painful, signaling that now is a good time to get help. Our pain can be a portal to renewing, re-balancing, and finding new ways to live and love, so welcome. You may have landed on this website because I am a couple’s specialist or have seen that I treat survivors of trauma with EMDR. Perhaps you are here because of my Catholic/Christian orientation. It makes sense to know that your values and beliefs will be supported in the therapy process. I am a practicing Catholic and a member of Old Mission Parish, San Luis Obispo, California. I’m honored that many of my referrals come from a variety of Central Coast pastors of several denominations.
The conflicts you may carry within yourself or have with significant others deserve focused care as you consider taking action, letting go and shifting your perspective to creatively re-balance.
Your story, its meanings – the beautiful and not so beautiful – will have an opportunity to be explored so that your true self, values, and self-mastery can develop. My nonjudgmental curiosity will help you to relax and greet challenges with a renewed perspective. You may be delighted to hear that laughter and humor are part of what I share with my clients on this journey.
I am devoted to maintaining my own personal, professional, and spiritual growth and am grateful to have supportive mentors, teachers, and colleagues that challenge me to stay the course of my own journey to wholeness. My husband and I have three grown sons, large extended families, and I appreciate the complexities of facing the disappointments and joys that come with family life.
Each individual couple or family who enters my office carrying their fears and hopes has my respect. Whatever your story, culture, spirituality, or yearnings for healthy wholeness and growth, I will be happy to be of service.
